Mrs. Mumford’s Kindergarteners Study Ants

On May 29, 2015 kindergarten scientists ended their study of ants 
by setting up an experiment outside next to the school to observe 
ant behaviors for themselves.

The students put red yarn in a circle around several ant holes. Then they sprinkled pieces of sugary cereal and waited for the ants to find the food.

On Wednesday, March 18, 2015 Officer Brett talked to the kindergarteners about how to stay safe when riding their bicycles.

 





 
His safety tips are:
1. Wear a helmet.
2. Wear bright clothing and gloves.
3. Keep head up and look for cars.

Kindergarten Guinea Pig Song

The kindergarten students did a short in classroom rhyming play called Guinea Pig Song.  Each student had a line to say. They practiced standing up straight, listening to others and being quiet, as well as speaking clearly and loudly.
